But this model has the touch pad style (its just a flat surface with no real buttons and just feels like touching the glass or plastic of a phone screen) keyless entry instead of the actual rubber buttons that the other vehicles have.

This is another thing that isn't that big of a deal at all and honestly I probably wouldn't have even thought of this as an issue if I didn't have the F150 keyless entry to compare with.

Touch pad Keyless entry (not that big of an issue). Not a huge issue by any means but I don't see why it isnt added. I still did this by manually checking but I'm just used to being able to use the app or the car dash to see the PSI like I can do with my 2018 F150. I got nail in one of my tires and got it repaired and the only warnings I would get would be a low pressure warning while I would like to be able to monitor the PSI after getting the tire fixed to make sure everything was fixed correctly.

I know I don't have the full nav package (is that a titanium only thing?) but still I would like to be able to know the tire pressure without checking it manually. I wish the dashboard or the ford app would be able to tell me the tires PSI like it does with my F150. Tire Pressure (not that big of an issue).Seems like a simple enough job but they seem to be positioned and setup in a way where they just dont make it easy to service. Ford claims it's lifetime oil but after looking up a bunch of stuff online and seeing the hot position it's in I would really like to get it changed every few years (especially if I continue to put the miles on it I have been). Like the transmission there is no way to check the PTU oil without draining it. This is the first vehicle I've owned without a trans dipstick. It also makes changing the fluid more difficult as I gotta drain and then use the overflow value to check which is in an awkward position. While taking it to the dealership to get the oil done on it they don't even include a check of the trans oil on fords 80-something point inspection if the vehicle doesn't have a trans dipstick. This is just a huge pain, checking the trans fluid is now a pain and not as easy as just checking the other fluids. It's all been good and I have no regrets but I do have a few extra thought about some things. The original sticker price was $36k CAD ($28.5k USD). Since then I've driven across the country and back with it roughly 22k KM (13.5k Miles) in the last 6 months.įor the most part I think it's an excellent vehicle, I got it for $21k CAD ($16.5k USD) which I think was a great deal considering it's age when I bought it and the very little millage on it. I got it used after 1 owner who only put 18k KM (11k Miles) on it in the first 2 years. Just wanted to mark down some things I've noticed after owning my 2018 Escape SEL with the 2.0 Echoboost in it.
